The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that Li Wenfu and Zhang Jin, two 20-year-old tennis players from China, have been provisionally suspended, pending the full consideration of charges under the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).Li, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 1572 in July 2024, and Zhang, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 1285 in July 2024, have been provisionally suspended under section F.3.b.i.4 of the TACP, which reads:‘There is a likelihood that the Covered Person has committed a Major Offense and in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, the integrity of tennis would be undermined and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the Hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person.’Li and Zhang have been provisionally suspended since 31 July 2025. Both players elected not to appeal their provisional suspensions.While provisionally suspended, Li and Zhang are prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.The ITIA is an independent body established by its tennis members to promote, encourage, enhance, and safeguard the integrity of their professional tennis events.Ends
