North Carolina and Football Coach Bill Belichick released statements Wednesday night showing unity in their decision to stay the course with the program amidst a flurry of negativity that has surfaced mostly in the last three days.Since the Tar Heels' 38-10 loss to Clemson on Saturday at Kenan Stadium, numerous stories have surfaced regarding problems in the program, some of which were first reported by TarHeel247.Among them was a series of sourced information including the power structure at the university combing through information to determine a course of direction, which includes whether or not to continue forward with Belichick as the head coach.That the UNC Director of Athletics, Bubba Cunningham, and Belichick, had to make public comments speaks to the degree of discussion that took place."I'm fully committed to UNC Football and the program we're building here," Belichick said in a post by the school's X handle, @GoHeels."Coach Belichick has the full support of the Department of Athletics and University," said Cunningham.UNC currently sits at 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the ACC. The Tar Heels have been outscored 120-33 by the three Power 4 conference opponents they have played and rank near the bottom of the nation in nearly every offensive statistic and many defensively.Stories surrounding Belichick's personal life have been fairly consistent since last spring.
