Persistent fouling was also proving to be their undoing in the second half.Within two minutes of the throw-in, Bishopstown opened the scoring with a two-pointer from a free by Chris McGrath. This was followed by a point from play by James Scally, which gave Bishopstown a three-point advantage, before James Murphy opened Glanmire’s account with a point from play. Eoghan Murphy also added a point for Glanmire, before Bishopstown seized the initiative.Bishopstown had Glanmire on the back foot as McGrath converted three unanswered frees. Glanmire replied with three points, including a two-pointer from a free by Darragh O’Connor. James Murphy tagged on two points from play and Keith Crowe also got a point, to give Glanmire a lead of 0-8 to 0-6.In stoppage time at the end of the first half, Brian McCarthy replied with two points for Bishopstown, which levelled matters at eight points apiece at the break.Glanmire raised their game for the second half as a two-pointer from play by Shane O’Driscoll, followed by a free from outside the Bishopstown 40-metre arc by O’Connor put Glanmire into a four-point lead.Bishopstown replied instantly as Brian McCarthy converted a free. Wayward kick-outs were also proving to be Glanmire's undoing as Sam Sheridan pounced to tie the scores at 1-9 to 0-12. Eoghan Deasy put Bishopstown back in the lead with a point from play before Glanmire had Bishopstown pinned back, entering the final quarter.O’Driscoll and James Murphy each added points from play. O’Connor also chipped in with a pointed free, before Rian Foley responded with a point for Bishopstown.James Murphy got a two-pointer from a free before the wind played havoc with Bishopstown’s kick-outs.
