Liverpool FC legends past and present have helped to launch the Reds' new home and away kits, kicking off a new 10-year partnership with the German sports giant, Adidas.

After a delay while the Nike arrangement was concluded, Adidas has taken over as Liverpool's kit manufacturer in a deal that was confirmed back in March of this year. And fans can now purchase the new jerseys, which will be debuted in the Anfield double-header against Athletic Club on Monday.

First team players including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Ceri Holland and Curtis Jones are joined in an Alice in Wonderland-inspired launch video, alongside club legends such as Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher.

Both the home and away kits are now available to purchase. For the first week of sale, supporters who buy the home and away kit from an official LFC retail channel will receive a 10 per cent discount.

As was the case in previous years, the club is also offering an additional 10 per cent discount off the price of the home and away shirt to All Red Members and season ticket holders.

This is the third time that Liverpool has worn Adidas shirts. It first happened between 1985 and 1996, and then again from 2006 to 2012. During those periods, the Reds won three top-flight league titles and three FA Cups.

The latest designs will be available in both a short-sleeve and long-sleeve version, giving fans more choice than ever before. The home shirt features a clean all-red colorway, with the trademark white Adidas three stripes down the sleeves.

The away top is a nod to some classic Liverpool away shirts, featuring an off-white base with bold black and red detailing. The Liver Bird is framed within a shield, a design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s Main Stand from 1906.

On the reverse of both jerseys, the 97 emblem, encased by the eternal flames, sits proudly at the nape of the neck.

If supporters would like to honor Diogo Jota by having his name and number printed on the back of their replica jerseys, all profits will go to the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity. The foundation has committed to creating a grassroots football program in Jota's name after his tragic passing, alongside his brother Andre Silva, earlier this summer.

Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at Liverpool, said: "This is more than just the launch of a new kit — it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and Adidas.

"Since announcing the partnership in March, there’s been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come."

Sam Handy, Adidas soccer GM, added: "The return of adidas to Liverpool FC is a momentous occasion for us. Seeing our iconic three stripes adorning Liverpool FC kits again is something we’re incredibly proud of.

"The home jersey is a true representation of the Liverpool DNA — classy and understated — while the away jersey pays homage to the club’s rich history.

"I speak on behalf of everyone at adidas when I say this is just the start of an incredible journey and we’re extremely excited for what’s to come."

After donning the new home shirt on Monday against Athletic Club, the Liverpool men’s team will sport the new away kit during the Community Shield clash with Crystal Palace on August 10.

Liverpool Women will wear the new away kit for the first time during pre-season on August 9 against Aston Villa and the new home kit on August 17 against Durham.

Liverpool.com says: The home shirt is very nice. Ultimately, it doesn't much matter what the jersey looks like as long as the team wins, but it isn't a bad thing to have a clean-looking design.

The away strip looks a bit like a Manchester United design from recent years, but as long as the Reds score lots of goals while wearing it, no one will care. Florian Wirtz and co are going to look sharp for the new campaign.
