Former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche is reportedly the frontrunner to replace the under-pressure Ange Postecoglou should Nottingham Forest decide to part ways with the Australian.Postecoglou, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo last month, is still searching for his maiden victory since taking charge of Nottingham Forest, failing to register in seven games. The club is currently 17th in the Premier League table, one place above the drop zone, following last weekend’s 2-0 League loss to Newcastle.Postecoglou was serenaded with chants of ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ by fans as Forest lost their first home European match in 29 years earlier this month. The former Tottenham and Celtic manager is at risk of losing his position at Forest, with The Telegraph reporting that Dyche is the leading candidate to take over the role should club owner Evangelos Marinakis decide a change was needed. According to reports, current Fulham manager Marco Silva and former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper are also being considered.Get all the latest football news, highlights and analysis delivered straight to your inbox with Fox Sports Sportmail. The 54-year-old has managed 333 Premier League games since 2011, boasting a record of 93 wins, 91 draws, and 149 defeats.Dyche was also recently linked with the vacant manager’s job at Rangers.Earlier this week, former Manchester United and England great Wayne Rooney confessed he was “baffled” by reports Postecogluo was in the firing line.“It’s crazy all the rumours you’re hearing that Ange could be sacked. He’s had six, seven games, it’s absolutely crazy,” Rooney said on his podcast.“He’s been unlucky, the Forest fans really liked Nuno, and it doesn’t look like they’re willing to give Ange the time.”Forest will next host Chelsea at home on Saturday.
