Sherrone Moore now owns merely a 1-5 record in road games as head coach at Michigan after the Wolverines fell to the USC Trojans in L.A. Memorial Coliseum by a 31-13 final score on Saturday night.

Moore's win against Ohio State last season remains the only regular season road win he has as Michigan's head coach across 18 games. His win as acting head coach over Penn State in 2023 technically gets credited to Jim Harbaugh's record, while Moore served a suspension during the Wolverines' win at Nebraska earlier this season.

Michigan kept their game with USC close early before allowing 17 unanswered points between the final three minutes of the first half and first five minutes of the fourth quarter. The Wolverines ultimately conceded nearly 500 total yards of offense to the Trojans, including 224 rushing yards — 158 of which USC running back King Miller accounted for himself.

The win over Michigan represents the first home victory for the Trojan football program against a ranked opponent since November of the 2022 season and just the second in the Lincoln Riley era. Last Monday, in asserting his lack of concern about USC's home field advantage, Moore claimed that the Coliseum had only sold out ahead of this game because "Michigan's coming."

USC will travel to Notre Dame next weekend to take on the Fighting Irish in a primetime showdown for the Jeweled Shillelagh. Michigan will host Washington for Big Noon Kickoff.
