The second Test between Pakistan and England, which was earlier set to be held at the National Stadium in Karachi, will now be played in Multan from October 15 to 19, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday through a press release.

The match has been shifted, keeping in mind the work in progress at the Karachi stadium for the Champions Trophy scheduled to take place next year. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will also host games in the Champions Trophy, as informed by the PCB.

“PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men’s cricket team back to Pakistan. Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan’s renowned hospitality," PCB Director – International, Usman Wahla.

Revised schedule of Pakistan vs England Test series

Dates Event Location 7-11 October First Test Multan 15-19 October Second Test Multan 24-28 October Third Test Rawalpindi

Last month, Karachi was also assigned as a host for a Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh. But the game was moved to Rawalpindi. England, in the meantime, are scheduled to arrive in Multan on October 2, while Pakistan will also assemble in Multan on the same day.

Pakistan will look to make amends after losing 2-0 to Bangladesh, who became only the second Test team to whitewash them in their own backyard.

Pakistan are currently placed eighth in the table in the 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) with 16 points thanks to wins in two out of seven matches. Having lost five Tests in a row, Shan Masood's men haven't tasted victory since beating Sri Lanka in July 2023.
