Man Utd loanee Ethan Ennis makes decisive impact in first round FA Cup win

Manchester United prospect Ethan Ennis had a weekend to be proud of in his blossoming career.

Under-21s standout Ethan Ennis is making good progress on loan at League Two club Fleetwood Town.

The 20-year-old winger is getting a valuable taste of first team football, which will stand him in good stead for the future whatever his future holds.

The Manchester United prospect featured in the FA Cup first round at the weekend, helping Fleetwood to a first round win over Barnet.

Ethan Ennis provides assist in win

Ethan Ennis provided an assist for Fleetwood to score their opener in a 2-1 home victory.

Picking up the ball on the right wing, Ennis beat his opponent and then whipped in a cross for teammate Zech Medley to volley in.

Ennis’ assist demonstrated his direct qualities that have helped him to make an impact in Manchester United’s academy.

After the win, Ennis celebrated Fleetwood’s progression into the second round.

Ethan Ennis progress at Fleetwood Town

Ethan Ennis is one of the numerous Manchester United loanees progressing away from the club, and he has already made an impact for Fleetwood.

Ennis has scored two goals in 11 appearances, and this was his first assist.

It is a solid start for the young winger, although he will want his numbers to be higher and more consistent.

Ennis lost a year of his career to a torn ACL in 2022. This is his second loan spell, after a stint with Doncaster Rovers in the second half of last season.

Ennis did play in the FA Cup previously with Doncaster, coming off the bench to make his professional debut in January in an upset win over Hull.

He then played in the fourth round as a starter against Crystal Palace, but was hooked at half-time in the 2-0 defeat.
