Fabrizio Romano drops Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli update, ‘Want move to be guaranteed…’

Manchester United have already seen a busy summer transfer window transpire, but plenty more could happen in the next 11 days.

We are in the final stages of the summer transfer window, with Ineos not actively looking at any further additions right now. Having been rebuked in approaches to Brighton for Carlos Baleba, there hasn’t been much talk of arrivals at Manchester United.

However, while incomings look unlikely right now, United are expected to accelerate departures, with five players still looking for a new club.

Alejandro Garnacho is expected to join Chelsea, but if he doesn’t then the Argentine has plans to simply let himself rot this coming season and not play football at all.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho continues to avoid interested clubs, which raises real doubt as to whether he will leave this summer.

Antony is only interested in Real Betis, who can’t afford him this summer, but it is widely expected a deal will be worked out by the close to the window.

Rasmus Hojlund is also expected to leave and now Fabrizio Romano has shared an update.

Rasmus Hojlund now leaning towards permanent exit from Manchester United

Hojlund’s time at Old Trafford has come to a close and Ruben Amorim has made that abundantly clear by giving the Dane zero minutes in the past two games.

More United News

Hojlund is wanted in Italy, where he is viewed as being a classic number nine, and he does suit the league. Hojlund and United are definitely done, which has been reported by Romano over the past few days.

AC Milan have long been Hojlund’s main option, but now, Romano has suggested Napoli are hot in the chase.

Firstly, Romano took to X, tweeting that Napoli made new contacts over signing Hojlund, with the United striker keen to make the switch to Naples.

However, Hojlund is said to be making demands over a deal needing to ensure that he remains at the club in the future, not just a simple loan.

Additionally, Romano followed this by revealing Hojlund and his camp have made it clear to Napoli, Leipzig and Milan that he wants a loan with an obligation to buy, having accepted his United career is over.

Hojlund wants a move to be guaranteed in order to feel total confidence of his new challenge.

Rasmus Hojlund prefers move to Napoli over AC Milan

With 11 days left in the transfer window, there is finally movement around Hojlund and all signs suggest it will be wrapped up over the next few days.

In addition to Romano’s report, United in Focus understands via Graeme Bailey that Hojlund is expected to accept a loan move this summer.

Hojlund was keen on joining Milan, however, United in Focus now understands that the striker believes that Napoli is a better opportunity for him.

Bailey explains that Hojlund knows that United aren’t actively forcing him out directly, but in-directly he believes he is being, leading to an exit being considered his best option.

Hojlund could link up with Scott McTominay at Napoli which would be a welcome sight for the Dane.
