In what has come as a major blow to Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal, he has been booked in another rape case involving a teenager, who has alleged that she has been sexually harassed over the last two years, as well as during IPL 2025 in Jaipur.

Ahead of this allegation, Yash had already been facing legal proceedings for a sexual assault case, where a woman from Ghaziabad had accused him of similar activity.

The teenager has filed a case against Yash at the Sanganer police station in Jaipur. She has alleged that the pacer promised her to help make a career in professional cricket and emotionally blackmailed her to sexually harass her for two years.

Station House Officer Anil Jaiman has said that the teenager came to know Yash while playing cricket. She has alleged that two years back, the pacer had promised her of helping her make a career in cricket and raped her, according to a report in The Dainik Bhaskar.

The report adds that during IPL 2025, Yash called the girl to a hotel in Sitapura and raped her again. Frustrated by the constant emotional blackmail and exploitation, she registered a complaint on Tuesday.

Since the teenager has alleged rape when she was 17 years old, the case has been registered under the POCSO act. If found guilty, Yash stands a chance to be handed minimum 10 years of imprisonment, which can extend to life imprisonment, with a fine.

What happened in the earlier case registered in Ghaziabad?

Earlier this month, the Allahabad High Court stayed Yash’s arrest, in connection with an FIR lodged against him for allegedly exploiting a woman for five years.

The FIR was registered against Yash on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad under Section 69 of BNS, which deals with sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means.
