Paul Pogba could be about to make a sensational return to football as his latest social media post teases an upcoming move.

Whilst at Juventus, Pogba was originally banned for four years for a doping offence after being taken for a random drugs test after the Bianconeri’s first match of the 2023/24 season.

That ban was then dropped to 18 months following a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in October 2024.

The former Manchester United midfielder is now looking to return to the game with Monaco among one of the clubs interested in signing the 32-year-old.

Pogba warming up for football return

Pogba’s latest Instagram post sees the Frenchman sharing a series of photos of him training ahead of a potential return to football, all while wearing a Real Madrid shirt.

The post was captioned: “I think it’s time” with an hourglass and a saluting face emoji.

Former teammate at United Bruno Fernandes and Arsenal star Declan Rice both liked the post.

United fans have been calling for Pogba to return to Old Trafford following two previous stints at the club and this post suggests it is only a matter of time before we see him back on the pitch.

Despite United fans wanting Pogba to make a dramatic return to the Premier League, Monaco are currently in the driving seat to sign the midfielder.

At 32, Pogba could still have lots to offer any club and with Monaco qualified for the Champions League next season he would still be playing in Europe’s premier competition.

Offers may be limited right now for the Frenchman after 18 months out of the game, but one good season with Monaco could reignite interest from other clubs.
