Peter RutzlerSunderland are in talks to sign Ajax striker Bryan Bobbey, as Chelsea try to finalise the recall of striker Marc Guiu.Guiu, the 19-year-old Spanish striker, joined Sunderland on loan earlier this month but after an injury to Liam Delap, Chelsea have sought to bring him back to Stamford Bridge. There is no recall option in his loan deal so Chelsea cannot recall Guiu unilaterally. Sunderland have to agree to the terms of a recall, hence the negotiations after Chelsea’s request. Bobbey, 23, has eight caps for the Netherlands and his arrival on a permanent basis should pave the way for Guiu to return to Chelsea.Guiu’s return follows Nicolas Jackson, whose loan move to Bayern Munich was cancelled by Chelsea on Saturday and the German champions ended any hope of a further agreement last night.AdvertisementIt is not clear at this stage whether Guiu’s return may facilitate another departure for Jackson, which while unlikely, can’t be ruled out at this point.Manchester United agree deal with Real Betis for AntonyCharlotte DunckerThe Antony saga at Manchester United seems to be coming to its conclusion after an agreement was reached with Real Betis. The La Liga side issued a statement over the weekend which said they were withdrawing from the deal because they couldn’t agree on the financial side but now it has been restructured and the winger will fly out to Spain to complete his transfer today. It is understood an agreement was reached of around €25 million and 50 per cent sell on clause. That had initially been that United would be due a share of half of any profit from a future sale but now it means they would get 50 per cent of any deal down the line.AdvertisementIt is not clear what the individual agreement with the player, who impressed on loan there last season is, after he was looking for one of the clubs to cover the €4m in wages he would be missing by leaving United early. However, United sources say they are no longer paying him anything. While Antony is on his way out Kobbie Mainoo is expected to stay. The midfielder had asked to leave on loan due to a lack of minutes this season but Amorim is keen to keep him as part of the squad.Jadon Sancho is one to keep an eye on with Villa one of a number of clubs interested in taking the forward on loan.Fulham hopeful of signing two wingersPeter RutzlerFulham are hoping to close deals for two wingers today.AdvertisementShakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin began a medical at Fulham yesterday ahead of a club-record €40 million (£34.6 million) transfer, while Samuel Chukwueze, the AC Milan winger, could also join him at Craven Cottage as he is due in London today for a medical ahead of a loan transfer.Fulham have agreed to sign both players, with Kevin due to sign on a permanent basis and Chukwueze on loan with an option to buy, however both deals are still not signed off yet complete, with final details still to be confirmed.ESRA BILGIN/ANADOLU VIA GETTY IMAGESThe west London club are looking to improve their frontline before the 7pm deadline. Marco Silva said this week that the club need to sign two wingers and a midfielder after an exceptionally quiet window. Fulham released Willian and lost Reiss Nelson, at the conclusion of his loan deal, this summer. They have retained an interest in re-signing Nelson from Arsenal, who they have tried to sign on loan, while they have also been mooted as an option for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, who would prefer to stay in London.Kevin, a 22-year-old winger, has scored four times in Shakhtar’s Champions League qualification phase this season. Fulham’s previous record-deal was Emile Smith Rowe’s £34million move from Arsenal. So far Fulham have only signed a back up goalkeeper, Benjamin Lecomte, 34, from Montpellier.AdvertisementWinger Martial Godo, 22, is also expected to leave the club for Strasbourg before the deadline on a permanent basis. That deal is still not done either.Oliver Glasner stance making move for Marc Guehi difficultPaul JoyceMarc Guehi to Liverpool currently looking difficult essentially due to the stance of Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.Palace chairman Steve Parish has said the defender cannot leave on a free transfer having entered final year of his contract, but his manager is of a different opinion. The new deadlineThis year, for the first time, the summer transfer window will close at 7pm, as opposed to the traditional 11pm. But, as usual, we may still get some deals announced after the fact, if a club submitted the deal sheet in time.AdvertisementNicolas Jackson’s hopes of Chelsea exit dashedNicolas Jackson’s hopes of pushing through a move to Bayern Munich were dashed on Sunday night as the German club decided against trying to find an agreement with Chelsea on deadline day.Jackson had stayed in Munich over the weekend as he and his entourage tried to broker a new agreement after Chelsea cancelled his prospective loan move on Saturday. Chelsea withdrew from a deal that would have involved Jackson joining Bayern on loan with an option to buy. They had informed the Senegal striker that he no longer had permission to undergo a medical and that he must return to London.• Read moreBrighton’s Matt O’Riley set for Marseille loan dealGary Jacob, Peter RutzlerMatt O’Riley is set to join Marseille on loan a year after he moved to Brighton & Hove Albion for £25 million. West Ham are considering Charlie Cresswell, who left Leeds United for Toulouse last summer, and Taylor Harwood-Bellis as a replacements. Harwood-Bellis moved to Southampton on a permanent £20 million deal from Manchester City last summer.Marseille are set to sign Emerson for £700,000 from West Ham, who also expect to offload Guido Rodríguez, the Argentina defensive midfielder.Aston Villa exploring loan deal for Jadon SanchoGary JacobAston Villa are exploring a loan move for Jadon Sancho, the Manchester United forward whose proposed move to Roma fell through two weeks ago.The 25 year old has a year left on his contract, worth at least £250,000 a week, although United have an option to extend it by a season until 2027 and would prefer to sell him.Chelsea decided to pay a penalty fee of £5million rather than buy Sancho on a permanent basis for £25million after a disappointing loan spell at Stamford Bridge last season. Sancho spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Borussia Dortmund. Villa have recouped £16 million more than they have spent this summer, bringing in Yasin Ozcan, Zepiqueno Redmond, Marco Bizot, Modou Keba Cisse, and Evann Guessand.Roma ended the talks about a £17million deal, accusing Sancho of not having the right “motivation” to move to the Italian club, who instead signed Leon Bailey on loan from Villa. “Sancho is a strong player, who was linked with all the Italian clubs,” Frederic Massara, the Roma football director, told SportMediaset. “At the moment, [ a move] is only a suggestion, because it doesn’t seem as if there are the right conditions and above all, the motivation to carry on these negotiations.”We’re close with Victor Lindelof deal and are expecting others, says Unai EmeryIan WhittellUnai Emery will clearly want to sign a senior keeper if Emiliano Martínez leaves for Manchester United, especially as current number two Marco Bizot hardly inspired confidence in defeat against Crystal Palace last night.“I want Marco Bizot, a young player, Emi Martínez or another,” said Emery.Ironically, Villa have been linked with Royal Antwerp keeper Senne Lammens, who is also a United target, should they lose Martínez. One player who will be joining Villa today is free agent former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.“He brings experience and he is a good player,” said Emery. “We are close to the line with him and we are expecting to have some (other new) players.“I don’t know, is the reality. Of course, we are working, we are busy, tomorrow morning we will be working until the last moment at 7pm, with everything we have. But I am confident we are going to start again after the break, with new energy and focus completely.”Unai Emery: Uncertainty over Emiliano Martínez’s future not helping usIan WhittellAston Villa last night insisted they have not received a Manchester United offer for goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, despite manager Unai Emery leaving him out of the 3-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace due to his lack of focus.“He was not available,” said Emery. “Tomorrow is the deadline and we will see how we finish it. We need the players focused 100 per cent, and he wasn’t.”Emery was reluctant to go into further detail about the Argentinian international although the Villa manager is adamant that uncertainty over his situation is one of many issues that have adversely effected his team in the new season.“It is not helping us,” he said. “And this is one of the circumstances we are having now that is not helping. Tomorrow, we will see how we are at the close of the transfer window.“For sure it is not helping and we have other circumstances that are not helping us to be mentally like we were last year. But tomorrow, we are going to set everything.”Emery certainly wore the look of a man who is expecting that United offer, reportedly around £40 million, to arrive today and for whom the window cannot close quickly enough.Oliver Glasner: We have to keep hold of Marc GuéhiIan WhittellOliver Glasner was unequivocal in his belief that Crystal Palace must hold onto Marc Guéhi on the final day of the window, challenging chairman Steve Parish to show he shares the same ambition for the club.An unbeaten six-match start to the season for Glasner’s side was topped by an impressive 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday, featuring a star performance from Guéhi who is the subject of intense interest from Liverpool.REUTERS/CRAIG BROUGHBut his manager believes Guéhi is a test case for Palace to show they have ambitions to improve upon last season’s FA Cup-winning campaign.“It’s not the wish or a gift to Oliver Glasner,” he said. “It’s necessary for playing a successful season, and we had a great start.“We are the first time in European football and I think our fans deserve to have the best players available, and I know if we don’t sell Marc, Marc will accept it, because he loves Crystal Palace. He loves the team, he feels the appreciation he has, and we also feel the same from his side, so that why I just have to say we need to keep him.“I think this group, players and staff, did fantastic in the last couple of months. And if we want to progress, we have to keep it. If we sell, we accept, maybe falling a step back.”A full guide to the Premier League ins and outsYou can keep on top of the all the top-flight business from over the summer with our very handy (if we do say so, ourselves) summer transfer window guide.
