After not relinquishing his ‘right’, as per him, to present the Asia Cup trophy 2025 as head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi might remain in the limelight till the end of year as well. Why is it? Because there are two more Asia Cups scheduled to be hosted in November and December 2025. The first one, whose schedule and venue has already been decided, is the Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship 2025, a rebranded format of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, being hosted for quite some time now.The 2025 edition of the Rising Stars Championship will be held in Doha, Qatar from November 14 to 23. The teams remain the same as Asia Cup 2025 and the groupings will also remain the same. It means that there will be India vs Pakistan in the group stage and the teams could then meet in the final only as there is no Super Four stage in this tournament.Cricbuzz, in a report, wrote that Test playing nations i.e. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will send their 'A' teams and UAE, Oman and Hong Kong will send their full strength units, for the tournament, to be held in T20 format. In December, the U-19 Asia Cup will be played, once again in the gulf region only, most probably, although there is no confirmation as of now. However, two things are confirmed, it will be held in 50-over format and will be broadcasted live by Sony Sports Network and live streamed on Sony LIV.Whether Naqvi will once again occupy the central stage without even playing the tournaments is yet to be seen.
