In a symbolic gesture for cancer awareness, players from the Pakistan and Zimbabwe cricket teams wore orange caps during their match at the Bulawayo Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The initiative aimed to show solidarity with children affected by cancer and to raise awareness for their cause, Express News reported.

Both teams donned the caps as they took the field, drawing attention to the cause amid the ongoing series. The match, the first ODI of the series, saw Pakistan winning the toss and opting to bowl first.

Pakistan’s bowlers put on a clinical performance to reduce Zimbabwe to 124/6 in 24.2 overs during the opening ODI of the series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

After winning the toss and electing to field first, Pakistan's bowlers wasted no time in asserting their dominance.

The early breakthroughs came in the first 15 overs, with Zimbabwe's top order struggling against Pakistan's disciplined pace attack.

The fall of wickets came in quick succession, as Zimbabwe lost five wickets for just 59 runs between the 5th and 19th overs.

Pakistan's pace bowlers, led by Rauf (1/12 from 4 overs) and Aamer Jamal (1/27 from 4.2 overs), were in fine form, maintaining tight lines and ensuring that Zimbabwe's batters never got comfortable.

Mohammad Hasnain, Salman Agha, and Faisal Akram also contributed with the ball, keeping the pressure on the hosts.
