The transfer window officially opened again on Monday, after a five-day break on either side of the Club World Cup beginning with the market starting earlier than usual this summer.

Teams can now do their business right through to deadline day on September 1.

Chelsea will look to continue making additions to their squad, having already welcomed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for a fee of £30 million. Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr have also arrived in time to join the squad in the United States.

Although moves for Jamie Gittens and Mike Maignan did not materialise before the Club World Cup, the Blues remain interested in the pair and could return to the negotiating table.
