But Osaka was unable to compete due to injury and as a result, Azarenka was given the title without hitting a ball.The pair did battle in the US Open final just weeks later and Azarenka took the first set emphatically.But Osaka battled back to claim a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory and claim her second US Open title. Five years later, she will aim to win the title in Flushing Meadows for the third time.
