Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Alexander Zverev are among a host of big names confirmed to compete at the United Cup 2026 tennis tournament in January.

In all, five of the world’s top 10 men and four of the world’s top 10 women have signed up for the mixed-gender team tournament in Australia, which features 18 nations.

Teams consist of up to three men and three women, with world No. 3 Gauff and world No.6 Taylor Fritz spearheading the US, who are the defending champions and top seeds.

Six-time Grand Slam champion Swiatek leads 2025 runners-up Poland, while Tokyo 2020 Olympic men's singles champion Zverev will guide Germany.

World No. 8 Jasmine Paolini, who won Games gold in the women's doubles at Paris 2024, takes her place for Italy. World No. 7 Alex de Minaur is the star attraction for host nation Australia.

Great Britain’s team includes men's world No.10 Jack Draper and former US Open women's champion Emma Raducanu.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka leads Japan on their debut in their tournament, while world No 8. Felix Auger Aliassime is the main man for Canada.

Belinda Bencic, the Tokyo 2020 women's singles gold medallist, and three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka – who won the men's doubles with Roger Federer at Beijing 2008 – are in the Switzerland team.

The United Cup, which is in its fourth year, runs from 2 January to 11 January, just before the start of the Australian Open. Matches will be played in Perth and Sydney, with the official draw to take place on Monday.

“The entry list for the United Cup this summer is world class,” said tournament director Stephen Farrow.

“The star power in 2026 is undeniable. Fans in both cities are in for an absolute treat.”
