Everton handed Jack Grealish transfer verdict by former England coach - 'Signing of the season'Chris Powell, who coached Grealish with England, shared his thoughts on the move with former Blues boss Sam AllardyceChris Powell believes Everton's loan move for Jack Grealish could become the "signing of the season".Powell, who worked with the Blues' sixth addition of the summer while a coach with England, backed the 29-year-old to succeed under David Moyes and said he was excited to see him link up with new teammate Iliman Ndiaye. He shared his views while speaking with former Blues manager Sam Allardyce. He too believes Grealish could provide a major boost to Everton, offering Moyes fresh ingenuity in his attack . Enhancing his side’s creativity has been a priority for Moyes, influencing his interest in Grealish and the deal with Manchester City that was signed off earlier this week.Allardyce said: “I’ve watched Jack play football for a long period of time, it’s his life. He can't wait to just go and play football. He doesn't have to move because he'll be living in Cheshire. He can just nip down the road so he will feel comfortable and that will show in his game.Article continues below“The players at Everton can look forward to somebody who can give you the breather that you need when it's frantic because he can get the ball and go from his own 18-yard box to the opposition's, and doesn't need anybody else.“His assists and how well he can open up tight defences is very good. There's a lack of goals, but he can create an opportunity for other players because Jack's going to get the ball and there will be two or three around him.“I think that if he goes and shows exactly what he is, or what he has been, then it's going to be good for Everton and be good for him, and [David] Moyes will want to make that move permanent.”Article continues belowAllardyce was speaking on the Footy Accumulators No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, in partnership with BOYLE Sports . He was joined by Powell, who said: “The move is very good for Jack, he’s a really good player. He needs to get playing again and needs to play with a smile on his face."This move allows him to be free and he’s going somewhere where he's going to play regularly. I think if it goes right for him, which I’m sure it will under David, it will be one of the signings of the season for sure. He and Ndiaye are two top players; it will be exciting to see them together.”
