The Toronto Argonauts have decided to shut down quarterback Nick Arbuckle for the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury, reports TSN Football Insider Farhan Lalji.Lalji reports Jarret Doege will start Friday night against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Week 19, while Tucker Horn will be elevated from the practice squad.Arbuckle left last week’s game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats after taking a hit in the first quarter and did not return. Arbuckle had only been on the field for two downs before Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Philip Ossai hit him hard from behind, causing a fumble.Doege replaced the injured Arbuckle and went on to throw for 323 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions as the Tiger-Cats defeated the Argonauts 47-29 to end their playoff hopes.Arbuckle will finish the season with 4,370 yards passing with 26 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also had 161 yards and two touchdowns rushing.The 32-year-old is a veteran of seven CFL seasons, spending four of them with Toronto in two separate stints. He has also played for the Calgary Stampeders, Ottawa Redblacks and Edmonton Elks during his career up north.
