All of the recipients of women’s singles wildcards for this year’s Wimbledon Championships have been revealed, while all but one of the men’s wildcards have been confirmed.The 2025 Wimbledon Championships, which will be the 138th edition of the historic event, will be held from June 30 to July 13.Wildcards have been awarded at Wimbledon since 1977 and they are selected by the committee of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.Eight players receive main draw wildcards for both the women’s and men’s singles tournaments.Women’s singlesSeven of the women’s wildcards have been given to British players: Jodie Burrage, Harriet Dart, Francesca Jones, Hannah Klugman, Mika Stojsavljevic, Heather Watson and Mingge Xu.The remaining wildcard has gone to two-time Wimbledon champion and former world No 2 Petra Kvitova.The 35-year-old Czech, currently ranked 572nd, returned to the tour in February following the birth of her son in June last year.Lois Boisson stunned the tennis world with her run to the 2025 French Open semi-finals as a 361st-ranked wildcard, but she is not guaranteed to feature in the Wimbledon main draw after missing out on a wildcard.Tennis NewsLois Boisson gets a warning from respected coach after French Open heroicsHow Lois Boisson broke an Emma Raducanu WTA Rankings record with French Open runWhile the Frenchwoman has soared to 67th in the world, the Wimbledon entry list cutoff was before her Roland Garros heroics lifted her ranking.The 22-year-old has, though, entered the Wimbledon qualifying draw using a special ranking of 153 she earned due to a lengthy absence from the tour due to injury.
