Hearts vs Aberdeen is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned despite 90mph winds battering the country, with fans travelling to the capital urged to take care.

Storm Floris is causing chaos all over the country and it had been speculated the Monday night fixture would be in jeopardy after Met Office issued an amber warning due to high winds.

Scotrail have suspended services with the warning now in place until 11pm on Monday evening.

However as things stand, the Premiership opener for Derek McInnes and Jimmy Thelin's teams is set to go ahead as scheduled.

Around 650 Aberdeen fans are expected to make the trip south and they've been urged to take care as an Aberdeen statement reads: "Following dialogue with both the SPFL and Heart of Midlothian, we have been advised that as things stand, tonight’s SPFL Premiership match at Tynecastle will go ahead as scheduled despite high winds across the country.
