MI vs SRH Live Score, IPL 2024: Eventful first outing

There is not a lot in the bowler's favour in T20 cricket, even less in this IPL. But sometimes bowlers compound their own misery. Anshul Kamboj, making his IPL debut, had given away 13 runs in his first over, the second of the innings, but four of them were via an inside edge that was not too far away from Travis Head's stumps. Bowling his second over, still inside the Powerplay, he was smashed by the Aussie for six in front of square-leg. The Haryana pacer would have thought he had got revenge when he bowled the left-hander, who was swinging merrily at every delivery, only for the dreaded hooter and the umpire's outstretched arm to signal a no-ball. The free hit went for four, and was another no-ball, and the next free hit went to the fence again as his first two overs cost 32 runs. In Kamboj's third over, now after the Powerplay, he saw Nuwan Thushara drop a sitter at third man offered by Head. He would have though the world was against him, before he had his first IPL wicket, thanks to a wild hack from Mayank Agarwal. That he gave away just 10 runs in his last two overs showed Kamboj has something about him.
