As the red clay court of the Madrid Open settles for now, a new queen of the clay can also heave a sigh of relief. Iga Swiatek, after a marathon of matches, has clinched her maiden title in the tournament. But for now, she wants to rest! And what better way to do that than to go on a long vacation? Well, Swiatek has an alternative and unusual solution.

Amidst the sweat and triumph of her back-to-back matches, Iga Swiatek has now made a confession for her next goal. But it does not include winning her upcoming tournament. Rather, it’s simple and relatable to all of us.“I feel like, after such a match, I deserve, like, at least two months of vacation.”

But how would she do it? Iga Swiatek still has the Rome Open and Roland Garros on her schedule. And apart from that, there is also the Olympics of 2024 as well. Realizing the impracticality of the situation, she further added, “But I can’t, I can’t, you know, have that out.” However, the victory should not go un-celebrated, so Swiatek has found solace by trading it with an Italian dessert. “You know, traded for like 6 tiramisus or something.”
