Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including West Ham United's signing of a striker and a potential Premier League return for Cagliari's Yerry Mina.

West Ham United have completed the signing of experienced striker Callum Wilson on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old had been available on a free transfer this summer, as his contract with Newcastle United expired at the end of June, and he could not agree a fresh deal with the Magpies.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in Wilson, but West Ham have secured his signature on a one-year contract, and he has called the Hammers "a massive football club".

“I’m excited to be joining a massive football club like West Ham. A club that shares a similar passion to mine, hard work, dedication and also I strive for success so I'm glad to be a part of it," Wilson told the club's official website.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge. There's such talent within the squad. And obviously the gaffer’s come in now, he's making everybody a team - all working in the same direction to achieve the goal which is to be finishing as high as possible in the league and it's what the fans deserve, what the team deserve and it's what the squad quality deserves too.”

Wilson scored 49 times in 130 appearances for Newcastle between 2020 and 2025, while he has netted 88 times in the Premier League during his professional career, including 41 for Bournemouth.

Ex-Everton defender Mina 'eyeing Premier League return'

Meanwhile, Cagliari defender Yerry Mina is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League this summer.

The 30-year-old turned out for Everton in England's top flight between 2018 and 2023, making 99 appearances for the Toffees, finding the back of the net an impressive nine times.

Mina joined Fiorentina on a free transfer in 2023, but he only made four appearances for the club before moving to Cagliari.

The Colombian has featured on 45 occasions for his current club, including 31 outings last term, but his future is far from secure, with an exit this summer believed to be likely.

According to The Sun, Cagliari are willing to let him leave for £1.8m this summer, and the experienced defender has set his sights on securing a return to the Premier League for the 2025-26 campaign.

Mina famously joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January 2018, but he only made six appearances for the Catalan outfit before making the move to Everton.

Sevilla 'set asking price' for Arsenal-linked Agoume

Elsewhere, Sevilla have reportedly set an asking price of €25m (£22m) for midfielder Lucien Agoume.

The 23-year-old started his professional career with Sochaux before making the move to Inter Milan, but the majority of his time with the Italian giants was spent out on loan.

A successful loan spell with Sevilla lead to the ex-France Under-21s international joining the La Liga outfit on a permanent basis, and he has now represented Los Nervionenses on 50 occasions.

Agoume was in strong form for his Spanish club during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring once and providing three assists in 37 appearances, and it is understood that he is on the radar of a number of teams.

According to Fichajes, Sevilla's financial situation means that the La Liga club would be willing to accept an offer in the region of €25m (£22m) for the central midfielder.

Arsenal and Barcelona are among the clubs to be credited with an interest.
