The Barça Academy continues to grow

The Barça Academy has begun to offer consultancy services to professional clubs with the aim of sharing their working methodology. The project includes periodic visits to the clubs to observe and analyse training session, evaluate preparation, execution and planning and the coaching staff themselves. The coaches abilities with regards to methodology, teaching and technical knowledge are also reviews with individual assessments of players to identify strengths and areas for improvement according to the criteria of the Barça Academy.

The coaches at the clubs involved will also have the chance to take part in a week of professional development at the FC Barcelona facilities in which they can study in more depth the Club's working methods.

First agreement with FC Chindia Târgoviște

The first club to be involved in the project is FC Chindia Târgoviște, who play in the Second Division of Romanian Football. The agreement was sealed in the presence of Rafa Yuste, sporting vicepresident at FC Barcelona; Marius Pavel, owner of FC Chindia and a representative for the Barça Academy Bucharest; Benny Megreli, director of the Barça Academy and Sergi Barjuan, sporting director of the Barça Academy.

About the Barça Academy

The Barça Academy is FC Barcelona’s own football school model for boys and girls, with the primary goal of offering comprehensive development to its students. The project is based on the Club's methodology which is applied from the youth teams right up to the first team, using an attacking and creative style and representing values such as respect, hard work, modesty, ambition and teamwork.

Currently there are 30 Barça Academies around the world and via international clinics more than 45,000 children have been able to learn to play football following the Barça model.
