Manchester United reportedly hand Antony an 'ultimatum', as the Red Devils look to sell the Brazilian attacker before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United have reportedly handed Antony an 'ultimatum', with the Red Devils determined to force through an exit for the unwanted Brazilian attacker.

Antony spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, scoring nine times and registering five assists in 26 appearances in all competitions, and he is desperate to return to the La Liga club.

However, a permanent move to Manuel Pellegrini's side this summer is incredibly difficult due to the numbers involved, with Man United believed to want in excess of £30m for the forward.

According to Al Final de la Palmera, Man United believe that Antony is waiting until the end of the transfer window to potentially force through a loan return to Real Betis.

However, the report claims that the Red Devils have handed the former Ajax forward an 'ultimatum', telling him that he must accept one of the permanent offers from elsewhere or risk sitting on the club's bench until January.

Man United 'determined' to push through Antony exit

Man United are reportedly pushing for Antony to accept one of the offers on the table before the start of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

Benfica are the latest club to be credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, while Al-Nassr have also recently been linked with his services, and Antony's agent had claimed that his client was open to a switch to the Saudi Pro League.

"What I can say is that the player is on the market, and there are several clubs that want to know his current status," Junior Pedroso told WinWin. "We listen to the projects and analyse them. But he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia. Anything is possible, we are looking for what is best for him."

Antony is not in Amorim's plans at Man United

Antony made the move to Old Trafford off the back of scoring 24 goals and registering 22 assists in 82 appearances for Ajax, and he was regarded as one of the most exciting attackers in world football.

However, it has simply not happened for the forward in Manchester, only managing 12 goals and five assists in 96 games for the club, and he is not in the plans of Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim moving forward.

There had been suggestions towards the end of last season that Antony's form could lead to Amorim bringing him back into his squad for the 2025-26 campaign.

However, the South American has not been involved with Man United's first team over the summer, and he did not make the trip to the United States for their pre-season tour.

The Red Devils are also working on exits for Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho before the end of the market, and those funds could be put towards a big-money move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba.
