The wicketkeeper-batter stated that he has been informed to prepare for the Ranji Trophy as the management is considering him for the red-ball format. "I like Test cricket and I have a desire to play for India in Tests," Samson added.

Prior to the Bangladesh series, he had clarity on his role within the team, which allowed him to prepare effectively. "Before the series began, I received messages that I would be playing in all three matches and that I was being considered for the opener's role. So, I prepared accordingly," he explained.

Samson acknowledged the significant support he received from head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav, which he credited for his impressive performances. "Suryakumar and I have known each other for years since junior cricket. He is a captain who speaks his mind and supports all players. When I scored the century, he was happier than I was," Samson said, recalling a moment when Suryakumar rushed over to him after his century.

Samson also highlighted Gambhir's unwavering support, noting that the coach has consistently encouraged him. "Since the beginning, he has told me not to be afraid and that I have his full backing. He believes in my talent. His support is a huge confidence boost," he shared.

Reflecting on his batting approach, Samson mentioned that he always aimed to hit five or six sixes when given the chance. "When the opportunity arose, I just went for it. I wasn’t thinking about anything else; it was just about hitting the ball hard. With every ball, I felt I could hit the next one," he concluded.
