Arsenal fans certain Ethan Nwaneri has hinted Viktor Gyokeres transfer is actually happening, 'this is no coincidence'

Arsenal has been a hotbed of transfer activity in recent days, with two signings officially over the line and two more potentially on the cards.

Arsenal have completed the signings of Spain duo Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi, and are now working on Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

TBR Football exclusively revealed that personal terms between Arsenal and Viktor Gyokeres have been agreed on a £200,000-a-week contract.

Talks are ongoing, while Arsenal are also in discussions with Chelsea over Madueke, having tabled a bid for the England international.

Now, Arsenal prodigy Ethan Nwaneri has shared a photo on social media which some Gunners fans think is a hint towards a “phenomenal” signing.

Ethan Nwaneri spotted wearing Sporting CP shirt

Nwaneri took to Instagram on Wednesday night to post a series of photos of him and his peers on holiday.

The fifth photo Nwaneri posted showed him in the gym observing a hex bar workout – and he appeared to be wearing a Sporting CP shirt.

Considering Gyokeres, one of Arsenal’s top targets at present, plays for Sporting, a number of Gunners fans are convinced Nwaneri is hinting at a move for the Sweden international.

“Wearing a Sporting shirt means he’s already seen the light man,” one fan wrote on X. “Viktor Gyokeres is coming.”

Another one wrote: “Ethan Nwaneri repping Sporting’s kit – what’s the hint?”

The hint suggestions kept coming, with one Arsenal fan saying: “Nwaneri wearing a Sporting shirt, has he just announced Gyokeres?”

Another wrote: “This is no coincidence. Love this from Nwaneri.”

And another fan said: “Nwaneri wearing a Viktor Gyokeres shirt – Arsenal have completed the deal 100% that’s where agent Nwaneri has been!”

Whether Benjamin Sesko could join alongside Viktor Gyokeres

With both Gyokeres and Sesko commanding pretty hefty fees, it’s almost certain that Arsenal will sign just one rather than both.

RB Leipzig are reportedly demanding around €90million (£78million) for Sesko, while it’s understood that Gyokeres’ price is going to be nearer to €75million (£65million).

“(Andrea) Berta, whilst not wholly favouring one over the other, has believed that Gyokeres was the better option to serve Arsenal’s needs now,” TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently said.

“The club are in ‘win-now’ mode and with that Gyokeres is ready to come and lead the line, be the main man and I understand that Berta feels Gyokeres is the best answer for that.

“It is a tough situation as Berta and the club love Sesko too – they firmly believe he has unreal potential but the fee being asked was perhaps just too much.”
