Manchester United have two chances to complete perfect Benjamin Sesko transfer swap dealLatest Manchester United transfer news and gossip as RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko continues to be linked with a move to Old TraffordBenjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig (Image: Getty Images)There is plenty of time for Manchester United to complete their transfer business, and it seems that the final weeks of the window could present an opportunity for the Reds. With two new signings already through the door at Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim will be delighted to have Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in his squad for the season ahead. In truth, though, the United head coach will be hoping to have more new faces at his disposal for the upcoming campaign.RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has emerged as a target for United this summer as they look to bring in a new striker. After missing out on deals for Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike, United will want to make sure they don't fail in their pursuit of a striker this time around, with Newcastle also said to be interested. What may give United an advantage in negotiations for a deal for Sesko is that the Bundesliga club are reported to want up to two players from Amorim's squad. Reports from Brazilian outlet UOL have previously claimed that Antony is a target for the German outfit. The report earlier in July claimed Leipzig had lodged an enquiry regarding Antony, along with Leverkusen, Brighton, Newcastle and Betis. Meanwhile, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has now reported that Rasmus Hojlund is also a player of interest to Leipzig. It has also been claimed by Romano that a swap deal may be on the cards with Leipzig that would see Hojlund move to Germany and United sign Sesko. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: "Manchester United are in contact with Benjamin Sesko's camp since the end of last week and Manchester United are also in contact with RB Leipzig. So Man United spoke to both of them, Christopher Vivell is the name to remember. Christopher Vivell is a director of Manchester United who used to work at Red Bull Group, then he went to Chelsea for some time and then he went to Manchester United.Article continues below"Christopher Vivell has a very good relationship with Red Bull Group and knows Sesko very well. So, what hapenened is that Christopher Vivell is working actively helping with this deal. Manchester United are in contact with RB Leipzig."What I can add is that Manchester United are also showing Leipzig the opportunity to maybe include a player into the deal for Benjamin Sesko. Then we have to see if this player will eventually be open to moving to RB Leipzig because they don't play European football for the first time in a few years. So I don't think it's going to be easy to include a player in this deal but it is showing how Manchester United are really trying to do business for Benjamin Sesko."He added: "For example, one of the names, the dream target for RB Leipzig, could be Rasmus Hojlund. But let me say, from the player's side, as I have always told you, the player would love to stay at Manchester United. The player is not entertaining any negotiation with other clubs at this stage so the situation is quiet, but this shows how Manchester United and Leipzig are talking about eventual solutions for the Benjamin Sesko deal."Talk of a swap remains mere speculation at this point, but both options provide United with two avenues they could use to bring Sesko to Old Trafford.Manchester United duo Rasmus Hojlund and Antony have both been linked with RB Leipzig recently (Image: Stu Forster/Getty Images)As the Manchester Evening News reported earlier this month, Antony has informed United of his desire to leave the club this summer. Hojlund has also been heavily linked with a move away from United this summer, two years after his £72 million transfer from Atalanta.Only time will tell what will happen regarding Antony and Hojlund's respective futures at United. It's clear that the Reds want to bring Sesko to Old Trafford, and if holding talks over one of Hojlund or Antony heading in the other direction helps a deal move along, it could be something worth exploring. Here at the Manchester Evening News, we’re dedicated to bringing you the best Manchester United coverage and analysis.Make sure you don’t miss out on the latest United news by joining our free WhatsApp group.
