The FC Barcelona second kit for the 25/26 season links up with the Kobe Bryant brand thanks to Nike

FC Barcelona and Nike make an audacious and iconic move in the world of Club kits. The second jersey for the 2025/26 season will replace the famous ‘Swoosh’ logo of the North American multinational with the ‘Kobe Sheath’ - the sword in the sheath logo that identifies the Kobe Bryant brand. All in all, it is part of a brand collaboration between the NBA legend and FC Barcelona that is born out of a shared culture of sporting excellence characterised Bryant and is also part of FC Barcelona’s DNA. This new development strengthens the link between Nike and FC Barcelona and aims to extend the influence of the ‘Mamba Mentality’ and inspire new generations of athletes both on and off the field.

This collaboration – which will last three seasons, until 2027/28 - aside from celebrating the spirit of personal betterment and commitment that always characterised Kobe, also aims to remember the basketball star’s love for football, in particular, the style and philosophy of FC Barcelona. The relationship between Barça and Kobe Bryant stretches back a long way. The NBA star was a supporter of the Club, and on many occasions, he could be found with Club members and the first team players, both in his visits to Barcelona and during the squad’s trips to the US. This agreement aims to keep alive that notion of brotherhood and at the same time create a link between Kobe fans and FC Barcelona to make the global impact of the American’s legacy even greater amongst the sporting community and fans.

A great ‘rondo’ between players

The second kit has been presented via a video that takes the form of the famous ‘rondo’ training exercise (Mamba Rondo), starring Alejandro Balde, Alexia Putellas, Claudia Pina, Gavi, Ewa Pajor, Frenkie de Jong, Patri Guijarro and Salma Paralluelo. The ‘rondo’ is a fundamental part of Barça’s training philosophy, and it feeds into a style of play based on possession, refining mental agility and serves here as a metaphor for the constant search for perfection that the ‘Mamba Mentality’ pursues, inspired by Kobe.

Jersey and related collection now on sale

The second FC Barcelona jersey for the 2025/26 season is a clear Team Gold colour with touches of Persian violet and black, inspired by the classic colours of the teams in which Kobe played.

The Kobe Sheath bears a snakeskin texture treatment in brilliant silicone 3D relief – also applied to the Barça badge. The Spotify logo appears in black and is centered on the chest, while the Ambilight logo appears in the left sleeve on the men's team's shirts and the Bimbo logo on the women's team's shirts, both also in black.

The shorts are black with Persian violet details and a textured snakeskin outline, a reference to the Black Mamba alter ego of Kobe. The FC Barcelona badge is on the left leg and the Kobe Sheath on the right leg with the player’s number on top in clear Team Gold. The socks are black with ‘Barça’ in violet.

This is the central piece of a collection that also includes a pre-game shirt in black, basketball kit, tracksuit and Barça x Kobe limited edition sports shoes, amongst others.

The new second kit and the collection of related products is available from Tuesday 29 July at physical stores, both FC Barcelona and Nike, at fcbarcelona.com and nike.com. The first team will debut the kit officially when they face FC Seoul on Thursday 31 July in the South Korean capital.
