Six-time champions Argentina will take on Morocco in the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 final at Chile’s Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in the early hours of Monday morning.

After topping Group D with three wins from three, the Argentina football team beat Nigeria, Mexico and Colombia in the knockout games to qualify for the final. They have netted 15 times so far and conceded just twice.

Alejo Sarco, who is signed by Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen, is Argentina’s top-scorer in the tournament with four goals.

Meanwhile, Morocco also topped the Group C table with two wins from three games, including victories against former winners Spain and Brazil.

They then beat the Republic of Korea, the United States of America and France on penalties in the knockout rounds to book a spot in the final.

Yassir Zabiri, who plays for Primeira Liga club Famalicão, is Morocco’s top scorer with three goals.

This is the first time that Morocco have reached the final of the competition, with a fourth-placed finish at the 2005 edition of the tournament being their previous best finish.

Morocco will be aiming to become just the second African country to lift the U-20 FIFA World Cup trophy after Ghana in 2009.

Argentina, on the other hand, are the most successful team in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup and will be chasing a record-extending seventh title.
