Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel has shared a compilation of photographs from last night's Champions League victory over Slovan Bratislava.

The teenager was handed a rare start for the Bavarian club after reports emerged on Tuesday that he had informed Bayern that he wished to leave. It is understood his desire is to move to a team that can offer him more opportunities for minutes having been left on the fringes of the squad since Thomas Tuchel left and Vincent Kompany was appointed.

After the 3-1 win in Europe, Tel appeared to bid farewell to the home fans but his future destination as of yet is unclear. A host of Premier League clubs are thought to be keen on bringing the winger on board with United mentioned as a possible destination.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have also been linked with Tel. It is also unknown whether Bayern would accept a loan with obligation to buy deal come the end of the season. Spurs technical director Johan Lange was reportedly in Germany on Wednesday to discuss a deal with Bayern, with an agreement close on a proposed permanent deal.

Following his farewell to the Bayern fans, Tel followed it up with a cryptic series of Instagram uploads to his story. The three pictures showed the winger applauding the supporters, the Champions League logo and himself in action.

Sadly for United, they will find themselves at a disadvantage should Tel wish to continue his career at a Champions League club. Arsenal and Villa can offer the winger Champions League football this season whereas the Reds could struggle to offer him that as soon as next season.

While they are currently progressing well in the Europa League, they will likely need to win the competition to be in the Champions League next season. This is due to the fact that their Premier League form has been disappointing with Ruben Amorim's side languishing in the bottom half.
