The NFL trade deadline action is starting early.

The Dolphins traded pass rusher Jaelan Phillips to the Eagles on Monday morning for a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

The Dolphins appear to be in fire sale mode with their season in tatters following a 2-7 start and the firing of general manager Chris Grier on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are adding assets as they defend their Super Bowl crown.

Phillips, 26, has three sacks this season after recovering from a torn ACL suffered over a year ago.

The Dolphins could also trade another pass rusher with Bradley Chubb on the block.

“I understand the business of football,” Chubb told the Miami Herald last week. “But at the end of the day, I love these guys. I got the ‘C’ on my shirt for a reason.”

The Dolphins are also taking calls on receiver Jaylen Waddle, but ESPN reported on Sunday that it would take a first-round pick plus other assets to pry him out of Miami.
