Jobe Bellingham and James Maddison respond to Jude Bellingham’s ‘difficult’ message

Jude Bellingham posted a heartfelt message to the Real Madrid fans following the side’s start in the Club World Cup.

It was a frustrating night for Bellingham and manager Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid opened their Club World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal on 18 June.

21-year-old Gonzalo Garcia gave Los Blancos the lead after being picked out by a pinpoint pass from Rodrygo — who continues to be linked with a summer move to Arsenal.

But the advantage was short-lived, as former Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves equalised from the penalty spot to deny Madrid all three points.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid early in the summer, made his debut in the match, while Dean Huijsen also featured for Los Blancos from the start following his £50 million switch from Bournemouth.

Bellingham was in the starting XI but struggled to make a decisive impact in a game that proved frustrating for much of the squad.

Jobe Bellingham makes Borussia Dortmund debut after Sunderland exit

While Jude was thanking Madrid fans, his younger brother Jobe was celebrating a major milestone of his own.

Jobe made his debut for Borussia Dortmund on 17 June as the Bundesliga side drew with Brazilian club Fluminense.

Jobe recently posted an emotional goodbye to Sunderland fans following his transfer to Dortmund, which was confirmed in a deal worth up to £31 million.

The move marks a familiar path for the younger Bellingham, but it remains to be seen whether he can emulate the success of his older brother.

Still, with both players featuring in the Club World Cup, there’s a chance the Bellingham brothers could go head-to-head later in the tournament.
