Man Utd told they have a player who makes football 'easier' for teammates

Manchester United have had multiple players on international duty this month, with plenty of praise being heaped on their performances.

Ruben Amorim will be pleased with the levels his Manchester United players have shown during the break, with Patrick Dorgu among the top performers.

Bruno Guimaraes praises Casemiro

Ever since Carlo Ancelotti took charge of the Brazilian national team, there has been a rebirth of Casemiro in the famous yellow and green.

Ancelotti implied it was impossible to replace Casemiro in midfield, and he has starred again this international break, alongside Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes.

Speaking with Brazilian outlet UOL this week, Guimaraes discussed Casemiro, admitting he makes football easier.

“Playing with Casemiro is easier for any player. I have the freedom to play like I do at my club, and that gives me more freedom to create.”

This is a telling verdict on Casemiro; while many grow frustrated by his performances, his fellow professionals remain convinced of his quality.

Casemiro doesn’t have partner like Bruno Guimaraes at Manchester United

While impressive for Brazil, the performances of Casemiro haven’t exactly made his teammates’ jobs easier, with his lack of mobility often causing problems for the Red Devils.

While the legendary defensive midfielder uses excellent positioning and in-game intelligence to get by, he still struggles, especially with a partner like Bruno Fernandes, who is more of an attacker than a midfielder.

This places a heavier burden on the partner, Casemiro in this case, explaining why he thrives with Guimaraes next to him, a midfielder who can do it all and cover the ground defensively needed to help United’s No.18.

The midfield at United doesn’t work, which explains why Ineos is planning to overhaul the position in 2026 with a handful of new names considered.

The dynamic needed is similar to Guimaraes and Casemiro, which could be achieved through signing Elliott Anderson or Adam Wharton.
