Inam claims double crown at PLTA Marka Haq Azadi Cup Tennis

LAHORE - Inam ul Haq stole the spotlight at the PLTA Marka Haq Azadi Cup Tennis Tournament, held at Shalimar Club, by securing both the senior singles and senior doubles titles. In the senior singles final, Inam defeated Abdullah Sajid 6-2, 6-1. He then partnered with Raza Ali in the senior doubles final, where the duo crushed Faisal Bashir and Jabar 6-1, 6-1, sealing Inam’s double crown in the tournament. In other matches, Muhammad Taha emerged victorious in the U-16 boys final, edging out Ayan Ghangera 8-6 while in the U-16 girls final, Faiza outclassed Anum 8-3.

The chief guest, Brig. Rashid Wali Janjua, graced the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up. In his address, he lauded the efforts of tournament organizer and PLTA’s Iftikhar Ahmed Rao and Rashid Malik, and Inam ul Haq for promoting tennis in Rawalpindi. “Tennis is thriving in Rawalpindi because of the dedication and passion of these individuals,” he remarked.
