No. 10 South Carolina is gearing up for its home season-opener as its set to welcome South Carolina State to Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday. The matchup, which will be streamed on ESPN+ and SEC Network+, is currently in a delay due to weather.

The Gamecocks will be down a few players on Saturday evening as head coach Shane Beamer announced on Thursday that cornerback Judge Collier and EDGE Jatius Geer will be out for the matchup against the Bulldogs. Collier was spotted with on crutches with a brace on his left leg in pregame warmups. Defensive back Jalon Kilgore and Zavion Hardy, who were both on the dress list, did not participate in pregame warmups.

Here are the scholarship players who were not listed on the dress list for Saturday's matchup.

Judge Collier, George Wilson Jr., Jatius Geer, Zahbari Sandy, Kobby Sakyi-Prah, Ryan Brubaker, Caleb Williams, Jaylen Brown

Beamer looked ahead to Saturday's matchup against South Carolina State during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

"Looking forward to this Saturday night to be back home against a South Carolina State that has so much tradition, so much pride in their program and rightfully so," Beamer said. "A team that's won multiple conference championships in recent years. Played for the HBCU national championship last year. There is some great football that's being played in that conference and across the country.

"They do a great job. I have a lot of respect for coach Berry. We actually invited him to come speak at our high school coaches clinic this spring here in Columbia. Did a great job. I sat there and took a lot of notes because I see his interviews on television or watch him somewhere on TV. Just his enthusiasm and passion is impressive. He's another great coach down there in Orangeburg in a long line of great coaches that have been there. … They have a team with a lot of new transfers that are really good players that have made an immediate impact. And then some great returning players off last year's team that won a conference championship and had a heck of a year. We know we will get their best shot on Saturday night."
