The Indian women’s football team will host Uzbekistan for two FIFA international friendlies at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru.

The IND-W vs UZB-W football matches will take place on Friday and Tuesday with kickoffs scheduled at 4:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

Hosts India head into the games on the back of defeats at the hands of Russia and the Republic of Korea, while Uzbekistan also lost in their last two outings against Zambia and the People’s Republic of China.

India are 69th in the women’s football FIFA rankings while Uzbekistan are 19 spots above them.

Crispin Chettri-coached Indian women’s football team will aim to use the friendly matches against Uzbekistan as preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers.

India have been drawn in Group B for qualifiers and will face Mongolia (June 23), Timor-Leste (June 29), Iraq (July 2) and hosts Thailand (July 5) in Chiang Mai.

India’s head-to-head record against Uzbekistan favours the latter. The two teams have met 13 times with Uzbekistan winning on nine occasions and India emerging triumphant once. Three matches between the two sides have ended in draws.
