Australia vs Pakistan LIVE: Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 score, radio, highlights & updates

Aus 38-2

We're getting shots of Sri Lankan beaches on TV which I'll admit is making me rather jealous.

Australia have played Pakistan 32 times across all formats in women's matches. They have never lost.

Aus 36-2

Those two wickets have only brought in Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry. There remains a very long way to go for Pakistan and Beth Mooney proves the point by flicking her first boundary to fine leg.

That is exactly the reward Fatima Sana deserved. Litchfield mistimed it and she knew as soon as she hit it, she was going to be caught. Well deserved.

WICKET

Litchfield c & b Sana 10 (Aus 30-2)

Two in four balls! Phoebe Litchfield follows her captain in walking off bashing her bat off pad.

Aiming somewhere over long-off, she has skied a drive straight back to seamer Fatima Sana in a strange dismissal.

This is a great start for Pakistan.

WICKET

Healy c Baig b Iqbal 20 (Aus 30-1)

Well!

Alyssa Healy is swishing her bat in disgust at herself. Her team-mates need to give her a few minutes alone in the dressing room.

The Aussie captain has just flicked a leg-stump half-volley to mid-wicket. It's the softest of soft dismissals.

Aus 24-0

The change very nearly works.

Alyssa Healy nicks a good delivery from Sadia Iqbal but wide of the fielder at slip who now moves a few yards wider.

The answer to my previous question is four deliveries - four deliveries before a Phoebe Litchfield switch hit.

I love this, Pakistan have seen that this is not working and have changed their power play. It is crucial when you want to get wickets.

Aus 17-0

Appeal for lbw! After being hit on the pad, Alyssa Healy immediately goes scratching at her crease - a subtle way of saying "you're not going to give that out, are you?". It probably was too high.

Still it's a good over from Fatima Sana. One from it.

Aus 16-0

Healy 10, Litchfield 6

Alyssa Healy gets her first boundary with a flick to a poor full toss from Diana Baig.

I wouldn't mind a go with Healy's bat. She hardly touched that and it pinged for four. It probably has something to do with her timing too mind.

Because Australia have so much batting depth, they can keep going. I think that is going to serve them really well.

Aus 10-0

Having taken another few steps to Pakistan's other seamer Fatima Sana, Phoebe Litchfield is already halfway down the pitch by the time the ball is fielded at extra cover after a fumble.

Australia were actually 128-5 against New Zealand and still made 300+. They bat so deep.

That was a beautiful shot and I think that is what the best players do, they are on the front foot and always putting pressure back onto the bowlers.
