Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Amanda Anisimova, Madison Keys, and Naomi Osaka are among the top WTA players competing at the China Open this week in Beijing. The men's competition will feature 2023 China Open champion Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Alex de Minaur, and Karen Khachanov, among many others. (U.S. Open winners Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka are noticeably absent — Alcaraz chose instead to compete at the Laver Cup, while Sabalenka has to pull out of the tournament due to an injury.) After a series of qualifying matches earlier this week, the tournament officially begins Sept. 24 and runs through Oct. 4, 2025.
