Goncalo Guedes got Wolves’ fourth in injury-time to cap off a wonderful day for Wanderers.Ashley Williams was in the studio for Match of the Day last night, and was left amazed by Cunha, likening his first goal to something you’d seen from Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp. He said: “This man is so important for Gary O’Neil’s Wolves side. He had an excellent game again today. He’s really enjoying his football.“He’s such a strong runner, what a touch that is, a couple of touches actually. Great pass (from Lemina), that’s a sublime pass. This is Dennis Bergkamp-esque.“Two touches and a finish, that’s what you want to see when you’re watching a game of football.“He’s brilliant, in a team that’s not one of the top four or six, he has got good numbers this season and I think he’s been really important.”It was certainly another brilliant outing, with O’Neil hailing Cunha’s ‘incredible’ talent after the 4-1 win.Cunha is Wolves’ talismanThere’s no doubt about it – Cunha is Wolves’ talisman now and if he stays fit, there should be no worries about any potential relegation battle. All O’Neil really needs to do is get his side to improve defensively. He did that today, with the back four – which was missing Santiago Bueno and Craig Dawson – holding impressively firm.Matheus Cunha vs Fulham Minutes played – 89 Goals – 2 Assists – 1 Touches – 53 Passes/completed – 20/25 Dribbles/completed – 4/2 Duels/won – 10/4 via SofascoreIf we can see more of that, then Cunha and his supporting cast will do the rest and Wolves will fly up the table. The Brazilian is in the form of his life right now and is clearly loving playing for Wolves. Credit must go to O’Neil for getting the very best out of him, which is something that the manager who actually brought him to Molineux – Julen Lopetegui – couldn’t manage.
