Pakistan National Cricket Team vs New Zealand National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: New Zealand premier fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was at the receiving end of New Zealand batters Tim Seifert and Finn Allen as the hosts defeated Pakistan in a rain-truncated encounter here at the University Oval in Dunedin on Tuesday. Shaheen, who has not been at his best in the format for some time, got blasted for 4 massive sixes in his second over of the match after bowling a maiden.

A rejigged Pakistan side posted 135 runs, setting up a steep chase for the hosts. Ordinary with the ball, Shaheen did boost his side, scoring 22 off 14 with the bat to give the visitors a late flourish who were losing wickets at regular intervals.

The left-arm pacer started impressively, delivering a maiden over to Tim Seifert and putting early pressure on the New Zealand batters. However, the momentum quickly shifted as Finn Allen launched a brutal assault, smashing three sixes off Mohammad Ali in the following over.

Shaheen Afridi was introduced into the attack in the third over but was immediately punished, with Seifert hitting him for two sixes. While he managed to adjust his length on the next two deliveries, the carnage resumed as the New Zealand opener sent the final two balls out of the park. By the end of three overs, New Zealand had raced to 44 runs, and Shaheen had conceded 26 runs in that over—a decisive moment that ultimately tilted the game in the hosts' favor.

New Zealand chased down the target with five wickets in hand, securing a 2-0 lead in the series. Seifert was the top scorer, contributing 45 runs off just 22 balls. Meanwhile, Shaheen remained wicketless, finishing with figures of 0/31 from three overs. His expensive spell drew heavy criticism on social media, with fans labeling him as overrated.
