Despite being just 16 at the time, Doak made two appearances for the first team against Dundee United and Rangers, before moving to the Anfield side in the summer of that year.

Now, following a fruitful loan spell at Middlesbrough last season, where he played 24 games, the Scotland international has been linked with a move away from Arne Slot's club.

Per new reports, English Premier League newcomers Leeds United have registered their interest in the highly-rated winger, whose contract at Liverpool runs out next summer. [The Athletic].

The update also states that his current club value his worth at £20 million, despite seemingly being out of the picture in Slot's plans.

Since making his debut for Steve Clarke's Scotland last year, the ex-Ayr United youth player has been a fan favourite for the Tartan Army, with his lack of appearances for the national team being down to injury issues over the past year.

Elsewhere, the SPFL has sanctioned Celtic, following the use of pyrotechnics by members of the home support against St Mirren in May (Trophy Day).

The club, along with Aberdeen and Partick Thistle, have been cited by Scottish football's governing body due to events that transpired during the 2024/25 season.

Celtic have been handed a ticket reduction in the section where the pyro took place, which has been suspended, though the sanction will be triggered if another breach occurs.
