The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 will kick off in Chile during the early hours of Sunday with 24 teams from six confederations chasing glory in the age-group showpiece from September 28 to October 20.

This will be the 24th edition of the men’s U-20 Football World Cup, which is played biannually. Live streaming will be available in India.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 will follow the same format as past editions, with the 24 football teams separated into six groups of four each.

The top two teams from each group will automatically progress to the knockout stages, while the four best third-placed teams will also join them in the pre-quarterfinals.

The 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held across four venues in Chile - Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander in Valparaíso, Estadio Fiscal de Talca in Talca and Estadio El Teniente in Rancagua.

Defending champions Uruguay will not be a part of the FIFA U-20 World Cup after failing to qualify for the tournament. They are the eighth consecutive title holders to fail to qualify for the subsequent tournament.

Argentina are the most successful team in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup with six titles.

Where to watch FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 live in India

Live streaming of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 will be available on the FIFA+ website and app in India. There will be no live telecast of any FIFA U-20 World Cup matches in India.
