Sancho, 24, has underwhelmed with Chelsea despite a bright start to life with the Blues. He has two goals and six assists in 29 appearances in all competitions this term. And while Chelsea look set to sign him permanently, former star William Gallas has suggested that his future is not in West London.Speaking to Stadium Astro, he said: "He's a talented player, everybody knows this, but we don't know why he can't perform and can't show what he can do. At Dortmund, he was magnificent. At Manchester United it didn't work well for him. He came to Chelsea and at the beginning we saw that Sancho from Dortmund, but then he disappeared."I don’t know what the problem is, but at the moment he can’t stay at Chelsea because he has to do more. When you play in the Premier League you have to play every game at the highest level. It’s not easy, but you can’t just play well for a few games and then chill out."Elsewhere, Sancho’s former coach Dan Micciche has claimed that he would actually suit Ruben Amorim’s system more should he return to Man United. Speaking with The Sun, he said: "Jadon would have to play as a left-sided No.10, I couldn't see him play as a wing-back. Can he play there? Yeah, absolutely. I think he could play for Ruben Amorim in his system.Jadon Sancho looks likely to have played his final game for Man United (Image: Getty Images )Should Chelsea sign Sancho permanently? Share your thoughts in the comments below"It might actually suit him more - in terms of freeing him up. He wouldn't be hugging the touchline as much, he would in middle of the pitch more and would have more options when he gets the ball."Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has also issued his verdict on Sancho’s future. Speaking in January, the Italian said: “He is doing very well for me. I am quite surprised with Jadon. I knew Jadon already so knew what to expect from him but in terms of being consistent.“He is doing every well apart from a short spell of the season where he had some problems [Sancho missed several games through illness in November]. Apart from that he has been very good. I expected him to do well but for all players to do well for a long period is not easy. He has done well for a long period.”Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
