Bills Reacts Survey: Grade Buffalo’s trade for WR Amari Cooper

It’s a been a whirlwind week of Buffalo Bills news, one where between rumors, workouts, and signings, general manager Brandon Beane has kept very busy. After the team endured a two-game losing streak, plenty of questions began to flood in wondering whether the Bills had what it takes to make noise this season.

The team’s passing game was in shambles — and to make matters worse, Tyler Bass hadn’t yet rediscovered the form that led to One Bills Drive signing him to a lucrative contract extension. The Bills needed to repair the passing game, address the kicking woes, and most importantly break their losing streak.

Then, on the heels of a huge road win against the New York Jets that lifted Buffalo to 4-2 and gave them a two-game lead on their nearest AFC East rivals, Beane managed to pull off a trade with the Cleveland Browns to bring Amari Cooper to Western New York. In the end, the Bills sent their third pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Browns in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick of Cleveland’s and Cooper. You can read more about Cooper’s contract details here.

Not yet done, Buffalo once again hosted a number of kickers, ultimately signing Lucas Havrisik to the practice squad on Thursday.

Before the team’s Week 6 Monday Night Football game, plenty of Bills fans were skeptical about the team’s direction. The results of last week’s Reacts poll left just 28% of fans confident in the team’s direction. Have opinions changed now Buffalo is riding high atop the AFC East? Does the trade for Amari Cooper and signing of Havrisik move the needle the right way?
