Search for new Roscommon senior football manager at an advanced stage

A new Roscommon senior football manager could be appointed within the next seven days.

There is speculation around the county this evening (Wednesday) that the process to succeed Davy Burke is at an advanced stage.

Stephen Rochford, Noel Dunning, Mark McHugh, Mark Dowd, Nigel Dineen, Frankie Dolan and Cian Smith have been linked with the post in recent weeks.

While the process to replace Anthony Cunningham in 2022 took nearly three months, it appears that a more swift appointment is in the pipeline this time, and the new man could be in place for the final round of group games in the local club football championships.
