Georgia officially endorses 'stripe Sanford' call for Ole Miss game

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart opened the week with a challenge to the fan base. The Bulldogs will host Ole Miss on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be featured on ESPN’s College Gameday in the morning.

Smart is in search of the best atmosphere Sanford Stadium has seen.

“We need the best atmosphere we’ve ever had in Sanford Stadium,” Smart told reporters on Monday.

Georgia’s official X account has offered up another opportunity to add to Saturday’s atmosphere.

There has been a call to stripe Sanford Stadium from the Row Sixth Podcast on X. Georgia has had a blackout when fans were all asked to wear black clothing. This will be the first attempt at fitting Georgia’s three primary colors in different sections to create a striped effect on the stadium.

Georgia linebacker CJ Allen appeared in a video posted on the Georgia Football X account.

“You guys have been amazing so far this season, and we heard the chatter,” Allen said. “We can’t wait to see you stripe out Sanford on Saturday.”
