Ihsanullah’s Three-Ball Challenge to Abhishek Sharma Goes Viral

Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah may not have bowled in an international match for nearly two years, but that has not stopped him from aiming straight at the top, specifically at India’s Abhishek Sharma. The 22-year-old has boldly declared that he would dismiss the number one ranked T20I batter in just three deliveries whenever the opportunity arises.

Ihsanullah, who often makes headlines for reasons beyond his cricketing skills, has once again stirred the pot with his audacious claim, creating a wave of humor and speculation across the cricketing world.

“Abhishek Sharma when he plays me, he will not survive more than six deliveries,” Ihsanullah confidently stated in a video. The line has raised more than a few eyebrows in cricket circles.

His statement comes at a time when Abhishek Sharma is enjoying the best form of his career. The Indian left-hander was unstoppable in the Asia Cup 2025, scoring over 300 runs, strengthening his position at the top of the ICC T20I batting rankings, and breaking Dawid Malan’s all-time rating record with a remarkable 926 points. He also smacked Pakistani bowlers in two games during his onslaught but that may not have been the case had Ihsanullah been there.

In contrast, Ihsanullah was once hailed as Pakistan’s next express hope but has barely been seen on the field since his brief international stint in 2023. He has played four T20Is and a single ODI, but has not featured in domestic action recently due to injuries and off-field issues. Despite this, his self-belief remains strong.

Cricket fans have found humor in the contrast. One player is at the top of the world rankings, while the other is struggling to make domestic squads, yet both are united by confidence. Since the two players may never face each other, fans will have to rely on imagination to picture the outcome.

Whether Ihsanullah ever gets to test his three-ball prediction remains uncertain. But if he does, fans from Karachi to Kanpur will be watching closely.
