Hansi Flick is the king of Spain. Real Madrid, bow down.

That’s four epic Clásico takedowns in one season.

◎ Real Madrid 0-4 Barcelona

◎ Real Madrid 2-5 Barcelona

◎ Barcelona 3-2 Real Madrid

◉ Barcelona 4-3 Real Madrid

Hansi Flick is only the second manager in the history of #ElClásico to win his first four competitive matches, after Pep Guardiola.

The sorrow of the Champions League is in the rearview mirror. As disappointing as it was, surely Barcelona have a date with European destiny in Flick’s second go around in the Catalan capital.

The first order of business was to stand tall against Real Madrid, a season after they won La Liga and the Champions League, only to get even stronger over the summer with the addition of superstar Kylian Mbappé.

But Barcelona were never scared, in large part because of the fearless leadership of Hansi Flick.

This team is crazy. You saw it again on Sunday. They will not change their ways, even if it means surrendering a lead, or even while protecting a lead.

Being true to their identity has gotten them this far, shocking themselves and the entire world along the way with their audacious attacking football, throwing caution to the wind. And now, they are on the cusp of claiming a domestic treble, while Real Madrid goes trophyless in their first year of the highly anticipated Mbappé era.

Thank you Hansi Flick.

You made Barcelona believe in themselves. You found a way to bring Barcelona into the future. True to their roots, yet somehow something new that the game has never seen before.

Most of all, thank you for the fun. Watching Barcelona this season has been to experience 90 minutes of pure joy. An escape from the world. The purpose of football and sports in general.

With three games to go in the season, and an inevitable crowning of the champions upcoming, Barcelona fans will get to see an encore of the best show on earth.

Olé, Olé, Olé.

Every touch of the ball is must watch entertainment.

The next great wonder of the world has arrived in Lamine Yamal.

But because of their exceptional coach, Barcelona players across the roster, and at every level of the depth chart, are operating beyond a level they have ever known.

Since Lionel Messi left, we have wondered what Barcelona should do next to stay at the top of the pack in Europe. Who would the next great superstar be?

The answer was always to focus on bringing in the best manager, and the great players will follow.

Finally, Barcelona has found their man.

There are so many accolades to give out to individual players, but Hansi Flick is Barcelona’s MVP (most valuable person) this season.

He is a slayer of Real Madrid, and a savior of Barcelona. Pride and fame have returned to Catalunya.

The world will certainly miss out on not having Barcelona competing at the Champions League final in Munich.

But today, Barcelona fans aren’t feeling greedy, they’re feeling grateful.

As exciting and successful as this season has been, the most amazing part is that it’s laid the foundation for the future.

Lamine, Pedri, Raphinha, and company are not going away. And neither is their coach.

Real Madrid, and everyone else in Spain and the world beyond, beware.

Barcelona is just getting started.
